History

Legend places Chemdawg's origin in a 1991 Grateful Dead concert parking lot in Indiana, where 'Chemdog' bought an ounce of unusually pungent flower containing 13 seeds. Two of those seeds (the 'four' and the 'D') founded the modern diesel and OG families.

Sensory & chemical profile

Pungent diesel, sour citrus, earth. 19–25% THC. Caryophyllene + limonene + myrcene.

UK medical relevance

Not directly catalogued under its own name on UK pharmacy shelves, but every 'diesel' and OG-family SKU descends from it.

Legacy

Without Chemdawg there is no Sour Diesel, no OG Kush, no Headband.

Notable descendants

  • Sour Diesel
  • OG Kush
  • Headband
  • Stardawg

Patient note

Heritage strain profiles describe the historical lineage and chemovar template. Modern UK pharmacy SKUs derived from these lines will differ in cannabinoid content, terpene ratio and effect.
